In the event of heavy snow

Whilst the first snow covering of this winter was minimal, it seems a good opportunity to advise students and parents how the College would communicate a snow closure.

In the event of heavy snow, if it is possible for the College to remain open safely then every effort will be made to do so. However, given the wide geographical area that students and staff traverse this will mean that on occasion the College will remain open without a full complement of teaching staff. In these circumstances every effort will be made to provide students with learning resources and/or activities and appropriate direction to ensure they can study effectively.

At all times students and parents must take account of local conditions in considering whether it is safe to travel. Please also consider the students return journey.

Decisions about College closures and updates will be made available via the App, on the College’s website and social media pages and on the Gateway.
