Chemistry Challenge Success

Congratulations to eighteen of our year 13 Chemistry students, who were awarded certificates in the Chemistry Challenge which they completed in the summer term.

The Challenge required the students to sit an exam set by Cambridge University, which includes very difficult chemistry questions, problem solving,  multi-step calculations and novel situations.

Three students were awarded gold, three silver and twelve copper. The gold winners were Sarah Westgate, Ellie Cross and Daniel Espiritu. The students also took part in prep lessons leading up to it, where they got to practice questions, plan and complete practicals and do problem solving activities.
