Students excel in Chemistry Olympiad
Congratulations to 18 second year Chemistry students who were awarded certificates in the national Chemistry Olympiad. All those who entered achieved an award which is a fantastic achievement.
The students were awarded 3 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze certificates. Edie Allden, Ellie Cross and Daniel Espiritu were each awarded a gold certificate. The two hour exam was challenging with difficult questioning on complex topics such as organic Chemistry.
Luke Moseley, Vice Principal, presented the students with their certificates and said: “It is a fantastic achievement to be awarded certificates in such a challenging and prestigious event. The ability of these students to grasp such difficult concepts and perform so well in the national Olympiad is testament to their ability, hard work and dedication. I am confident that they will be successful in their exams this summer and go on to great things.”
