Isle of Arran Residential 2023

The Year 2 Geology students visited the Isle of Arran, Scotland for a 5-day residential in order to bring to life their studies and to complete a range of PAGs enabling them to work towards passing their Practical Endorsement Certificate that they complete alongside their A level. The students were able to study a breadth of rock types and visited Chirotherium trace fossils of a mammal-like reptile that lived 243 million years ago along with the footprints of one of the largest invertebrates to have lived; the giant millipede Arthropleura.
