Linguistics Olympiad Gold
Congratulations to Kai, Daisy and Amie (pictured) and Mara who won Gold in the UK Linguistics Olympiad.
The Linguistics Olympiad is a prestigious national competition which involves identifying complex patterns in order to translate unfamiliar languages. The competition is very challenging and develops the skills of pattern recognition and problem solving, as well as learning about some interesting differences between languages. The Gold medal puts the students in the top 5% of entrants nationally which is a fantastic achievement – well done.
