Modern Foreign Languages Future study & Careers Event at Blessed Edward Oldcorne College
Thank you to 10 of our students (former pupils of Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College) who accompanied Anne-Marie Mead on a visit to the school this morning.
The morning was aimed at encouraging Year 9 and Year 10 students to study languages. The WSFC representatives gave a presentation highlighting the better employability, transferable skills and personal development linked with learning languages. We did some activities and our students talked about why they studied either French, German or Spanish at WSFC. They talked about the languages lessons, their intentions for the future and what they gained on a personal level by learning languages.
Anne-Marie was delighted with what great ambassadors the students were for the College and the languages they are studying.
