Student Union Christmas Fayre
Article content prepared by a Jounalism Internship student: “A festive Christmas fayre was held at Worcester Sixth Form College on December the 7th , organised by our enthusiastic and affable student union. The proceeds are going to be donated to Trussell Trust, the food bank charity that is currently working to provide Christmas cheer to families in poverty that are struggling this Christmas. The welcoming ambience attracted a huge number of students who were able to purchase from an extensive variety of stalls, including a fun tombola, a range of beautiful, handcrafted tote bags and scrunchies, and aromatic vegan gingerbread men. A poetry wall certainly added to the warm atmosphere with seasonal poems such as ‘’Advent Calendar Haiku’’ by CS and ‘’Winter Rose Bud’’ by an unknown student author. A very thoughtful and creative stall had Christmas recipes from all around the world, including a delicious Galette des Rois from France. There was even a jolly Christmas carol quiz. The diversity of the stalls made the event very special. One member of the student union expressed their pride in their hardworking colleagues and hopes that another fayre will be held next year. Thank you to everyone who turned up and supported! Merry Christmas!”
