Worcester Sixth Form College presents ‘Cabaret’!
Following the success of last year’s production of War of the Worlds over 40 enthusiastic students, many of them in their first year at the College, are about to present the internationally renowned performance of Cabaret.
Welcome to Berlin! It is New Year’s Eve in 1929 and the patrons of the Kit Kat Klub are being entertained by singers, dancers and a sardonic Master of Ceremonies. Into this hedonistic world walks Cliff, an American author seeking inspiration for his next novel. The musical ‘Cabaret’ is based on Christopher Isherwood’s 1939 novel ‘Goodbye to Berlin’ in which sketches of lives lived in the Weimar Republic are drawn out. The dark shadow of Nazi intimidation hangs over these lives.
Performances on Wednesday, 12th – Friday, 14th December from 7.30pm.
