Young Enterprise team at Christmas Fair
Well done to Worcester Sixth Form College Young Enterprise group, Athena, on a successful day at last weekend’s Christmas Fair. They had a stall in College Hall, at Worcester Cathedral.
The team attended in shifts to promote their product – recycled jars which were thoughtfully decorated and filled with pot pourri. They spent a lot of time and care on gathering appropriate fillers, this included collecting and painting pine cones, some of which were used inside the jars and some were turned into hanging decorations.
The judge commented that their finished products were great and they managed to create a strong brand image with their stand display and really attractive products. Additional feedback was that all the team demonstrated outstanding customer service and explained their business concept well to customers. Of the 54 jars they took to sell, only 7 were left at the end of the day, so it was also a great success in terms of stock sold and the revenue generated, which will help fund their next product idea.
Sue Viner, Young Enterprise link teacher at Worcester Sixth Form College, said: “I am really proud of the way the students represented the College and their achievements so far.”
